FinOp/Brokerage Services
Specific to our broker-dealer clients, many of the SDDCO professionals hold the Series 27 securities license: the Financial and Operations Principal (FINOP). Every broker-dealer is required by current securities law to hire a FINOP to oversee the books and records, and to ensure compliance with the net capital rules. SDDCO's services include monthly accounting, net capital computation, electronic filing of FOCUS reports, the NASD assessment report, and the SIPC filing.
Regulators permit an outside individual to be associated with a broker-dealer for the purpose of providing the FINOP service. As one of the first CPA firms to assume this responsibility in the 1980's, we bring years of experience to broker-dealers of all sizes. Acting in the capacity of a FINOP for your firm, we will prepare and/or oversee all aspects of this mandatory, regulatory function.
