Previous positions include Senior Tax Manager at KPMG Peat Marwick LLP and Senior Tax Manager and Assistant Vice President of Prudential Securities, Inc., where he advised investment bankers and brokers on the taxation of potential transactions. Mr. Fortino earned a BBA in Public Accounting from Hofstra University in 1985, and an MBA in Taxation at St. Johns University in 1993.

Robert A. Fortino, Partner of S.D. Daniels & Co., PC and head of our tax department, joined the firm in 1997 after spending his career in public accounting and various securities companies. Mr. Fortino is licensed in the State of New York as a Certified Public Accountant and holds the regulatory license of Financial and Operations Principal (Series 27). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of CPA's.
